Let’s not take much from these small drops we see at the pump as anything much. The only reason we are seeing some recent reductions is due to the bleak global economic view and assumed reduction in demand that may result in improved oil supply.

This countries complete lack of an energy strategy is a huge problem and the major contributor to a bleak view of overall oil supply over the long term. This administration is a total failure and the oil issue is just another straw on the camel’s back. The eco Nazi's wanted reduced supply sources in the US and Obama gave it to them. We, the consumers get to pay for it with higher prices. A real strategy would indicate improved/forecasted long term supply and thus reduced prices at the pump today and over the long haul.

I remember this.

Bought deisel last night @ $2.99 a gallon.
I'd guess the gas was probably around $2.85-$2.89.
It's been running anywhere between .10 and .15 less than deisel here.

And I'd love to be still bellyaching about it. ;D

About $3.80 in Minnesota for unleaded. About $3.95 for diesel (Smallest difference between the two we've had in a long time.)

Stayed at $3.83 here for a while now. I drive the 8 or 9 miles to the reservation where it is $3.58.
Probably don't save any by the time i drive there and back but i only fill my car twice a month and it is a nice ride on all country roads.

Where did you buy it for that price at the time? I don't remember it being that cheap then. I googled gas prices for January 2008 and looking at three different sources, depending upon the day in January national average prices ranged from $3.05-$3.22. Must have been a hell of a sale in your neighborhood that month.

down to $3.25 or so in San Antonio.

I get it at HEB grocery with an HEB gift card that works the same as cash but gives me an 11 cent discount.  Too bad that promotion only last through Oct 31.

Price is dropping some because the economy isn't expanding.  It is getting worse.  Unemployment will probably reach 10% before we get the socialist out of office.

On the north side of Toledo just Monday, seen gas at $2.92. Too bad I had almost a full tank. $3.05 is what I had paid down by the turnpike. DD, I think your right. Economy keeps heading down hill, less people driving, it'll get alittle cheaper. gypsyman
