Up to 3.85 in central minnesota.

Interesting previous comment on nationalizing the fuel industry. That would be socialist control of the nation's most important industry, removing competition and incentive to produce. I find it interesting that even presumably conservative people will run to the government and say "help me! help me!" every time something goes wrong. Then when the government steps in, they usually make it worse. Still got health insurance? I'll bet 10% of the people you know have lost it totally or in large part during the past year.

TM7, got any examples of countries like that? I can't think of any.

Then there's distribution.

If the government handles oil and gas the way they handle education, we'd be in a boat load of trouble. More money spent on pensions and benefits than on anything else. Then there's cronyism, lobbies, and all other special interests. These things were tried by the soviets and a few others, and those countries don't even exist anymore.

Are you kidding? 80% of the world's oil comes from state owned industry.

I believe the original intent of this thread was to report fuel prices around the country.

If you guys want to discuss the oil industry start another thread.
