here's a good website for shopping 'round $3.15  for regular is least expensive I have found in my area.
Diesel hitting close to $3.50

Just click on show search options and you can select type of fuel state area etc and it will list specific stations in your area.

http://www.vermontgasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx

for a quick summary select Gas price maps and you can see the nation at a glance

Then if someone can explain to me how Utah and Wyoming are the least expensive (perhaps they have less state Tax)

Bought deisel last night @ $2.99 a gallon.
I'd guess the gas was probably around $2.85-$2.89.
It's been running anywhere between .10 and .15 less than deisel here.

Cabin 4 what I never can get is over where the refineries are on 80 north by the carcanis bridge you would think gas is cheaper as thye do not have to haul it so far.  but those stations are more.  The same was true in NJ near Newark Air port and gas was cheaper at the ocean 30 miles south, where I lived.

In north Texas I paid 2.81 a gallon when I filled my truck up yesterday morning.  At 1600 later that day the same place, still the cheapest in the area, was 2.84 a gallon.  Man this is a bummer...thank God my commute to work is only 6 miles away.  Thats still considerably shorter a commute than I had when gas hit the 3.92 a gallon here during the last gas gouging period a couple of years or so back.  So I guess I shouldnt really complain.

Me too! 3.29 nine. SW WA. Could've gotten it about 10-15 cents cheaper but it was on the way. Fill up at a half tank, doesn't hurt as much. Wonder what next years hunting will cost me??

I've been paying $3.53 per gallon for over a year now.  We are expecting it to go over $4.00 in the next month or so.  Diesel is over $3.60 a gallon.  Heating oil iis $3.11 a gallon as of December.

Ouch on the heating oil. We paid 75 cents a gallon about 15 years ago. We switched to natural gas about five years ago and have not regretted that. Too bad US lamebrain policy is to use portable natural gas for bad and wasteful applications like power plants that could be powered with other fuels. Instead we are wasting a finite resource that could be better applied elsewhere.

Thanks to the obama administration, we are going to be paying over $4 again very soon. China is working the deals with oil producing nations to support thier massive growth in consuption. We are reducing our drilling and ability to refine, this along with China sealing deals with the oil rich nations and its constricting our supply. The obama administration is perfectly fine and very happy with this situation. The eco nazi's love this. Anything that raises oil prices is good in thier eye's.

Ours went up last week to $3.67, and Diesel went to $3.66.  Got fuel oil delivered this week and it went up to $3.16 a gallon Ouch.  Over a Grand for that delivery, we used that much in December due to the colder than normal weather.

3.20 in town 3.15 on base. At least the military folks are getting a small break.
They truck our fuel into the dessert so the price is always higher, well thats what they say but if you want to drive 100 miles up the road it's cheaper. Even though it was trucked further.

Cabin Have you been dormant for the last three years or what? You said "Thanks to the Obama admistration gas will be $4.00 soon". Let it be known right now that I am neither a Re. or Demo. because I think neither has the best interest in mind for our country.I do remember when it was $4.00 here in S.Texas (under Bush) and then two months before the election, like a miracle, went down to $1.69 a gallon. Is this hard to figure out?Did the Chinese suddenly quit driving? Did the "speculators" get tired of making money? And like I said,I am lover of neither but I can't ignore what is happening right in front of my face.Think before you speak because there is something more "evil" than Obama going on.

Kix, The Obama admin is reducing our ability to drill domestically. Our consuption is increasing and so is the rest of the world. China is securing oil deals with the oil producing nations and we are not. This is a recipe for disaster. Yes, I too remember the higher prices under Bush but I can;t recall any actions that Bush did to reduce our ability to drill domestically. While the White House can't controll every factor globally that impacts the price of oil, it can take actions to ensure we cushion ourselves from those factors we cannot control. The one we can control (domestic drilling), this administration is negativly impacting.

Oil production and consuption will continue to fluctuate over time and prices will be impacted (up or down) from time to time. All we should expect from the administration is they do the right thing with those factors they can control. This current administration has a differant agenda. It has no desire to favorablly impact domestic production and that is the point.
