would you buy a 870 10 ga

Do you think remington should make a 870 in 10 Ga?  It wouldn't be the that bad I mean they coming out with a 28 Ga 3" this year go figure

If I needed a 10 gauge, the first place I would look would be in the 870 catalog.
Doesn't their 12 ga 3-1/2" just about get you there?

I wouldn't give a nickle for a BPS or any currently made Browning product.  I love the 870 but see no need for the 10 gauge.

There was a time I would have bought one. But at this stage of my life no. I've never needed one even though I've owned several 10ga shotguns over the years.   ;D

Quite possibly, esp if I still killed waterfowl.  I'd prefer a M870-10er over a BPS10.

Remington kicked it around back when n Mossberg was bringing out the 835, which according to insiders was to be a 10ga pump.

For me the only way to go 10ga any more is the auto, it will do things the 3 1/2 " 12 just can't get done,but its not needed for about 80% of hunting any more, sure is fun though with black powder

I'm into H&R Handi-"guns" and while a good opportunity to buy a singleshot tenner has not yet presented itself, I might do it sometime!

I can reload for the "10" and have a desire to still for hunt Canada geese and Sandhill Cranes.  If I ever do load for the 10ga it will also be for 2 3/4 or 2 7/8inch shells as well as any anti-aircraft goose loads!

Did own a Supermag M870, but never (personally) fired a 3 1/2incher in the thing.  Absolutely NO NEED!

Maybe.  If I were on the market for a 10, and the gun wasn't finished like an Express. I love my old 870 magnum, that action is smooth as glass, but I never cared for the express line.

I have both BPS and Remington 870's. They are both great guns. Neither has ever failed me. Yes, I'd buy one if I had a use for it. The 3.5 inch 12Ga isn't as good as the 3.5 inch 10 Ga.

 Had a BPS and had little use for it . It was heavy, shiney and dumped where I stood . I goose , duck and turkey hunt . Shiney guns are useless for all three. Heavy in a blind is workable sometimes. Dumping shells in the floor of a boat or blind to be stepped on is unacceptable for safety and reloading. I would guess a 870 would be lighter and see little for it as the 3.5 12 ga works fine for me in an auto loader .....

why buy a 10 gauge you can hit just as much with a 28 gauge. waste of shot in my mind. ducks and geese arent that hard to kill just have to shoot them in the head or neck area.
