It seems that when you only have one Handi, it gets lonely. They need company.
There for, it is up to us to make them happy. And let them Multiply.
My starter was a 44 mag. Handi. I sent the action in for additional barrels, the piece was still was unhappy. The barrels are a .308 & a 12 ga. 3 1/2" chamber Turkey barrel.
To maintain peace in the Safe, I added a Topper 158/22 hornet. Since the 22 hornet was lonely for an additional 22 caliber.
I could not pass up a good deal on a Handi in 223 with a 4X Nikon scope to keep the 22 hornet happy.
And then I bought a very nice Buffalo Classic in 45-70 with a Smith Ladder sight attached. The Handi's in the existing group thought the 45-70 was more recoil than I could handle. Sooooo------------
I removed the Smith Ladder sight, installed a Williams WGRS in it's place. Then---------
Found a Fellow shooter who wanted to trade a 38-55 BT for the 45-70. We traded straight across. I removed the 38-55 rear stock sight. Installed the $200.00 Smith Ladder sight on the 38-55. Now, all are happy, for the moment.
However, who knows when the Handi's will demand more company.
