You likely have the staggared feed type of magazine, every other round feeds from opposite sides of the magazine. If number two fails to feed but number one and number three feed then the feed lip on the side that fails needs to be bent some. I have one in 17 Remington made up from a .223, because the sholder if further back on the case I had to make a little insert in the front of the magazine that raised the tip of the cartridge up so the bullet would enter the chamber. Watching the round chamber while slowly working the action and watching both sides of the magazine feed will probably give you a clue. Larry
