Oldztimer's disease setting in....
« on: January 08, 2011, 04:10:01 PM »
a couple of conversations I recently had:

first, I was out in my boat with my wife this past month and we started to get into the flounder. I live in Texas by Sabine Lake.  We started talking to a guy in a boat about 50 yds away.  soon the conversation turned to legal bag limit and min length for flounder.  Just to be careful and not get busted by a game warden I said "hey, we can only keep two flounder per day in November.....right?"  he said  "yeah......but this is DECEMBER"

second conversation:  I bought a gun off of gunbroker, and was telling my FFL to expect a rifle shipping to him.

FFL:  so where is this rifle coming from?
me:  I don't know, the initials for the state were NE, so its New England.
FFL:  no, thats not New England, its NEBRASKA
me:  okay, fair enough......so what is the abreviation for New England then?
FFL:  New England is not a state.  Its an area.
