Wm, I have given this some thought.  Instead of spending hard earned money on fancy holsters and belts, you can save it for gas in that sporty car you drive.  Just screw an eye into the grip, and hang the gun from a thong around your neck.  It worked for that bad guy in the Eastwood movies.....The Good and Bad or a Fistfull of dollars or one of those..........................

The dang ol thing is heavy--but I like heavy---but this one is HEAVY.
I think I would hurt my neck if'n I hung a gun offen it----good thought though.

Thanks for gettin me back on track 45-70.

The real Problem I had when looking for a holster for mine was most makers have dropped good  carry designs for the N frames.
you can find hunting holsters but not an everyday carry holster.
The ones I did find were an arm and a leg in cost.
I settled for a holster about $50 that is finctional, retains the gun, and has a lined holster to protect the holster from streaching and allowing the gun to shift around.
After seeing your new grips in another post, I can see why you want an open top like an askins avenger style holster.  Black basket weave would look great.
May have to copy you on the grips and look at El Paso for a new holster.

If you are observant---open the last picture--and, enlarge it---you will notice a most unusual .45 bullet---if you are interested, ask me about it.

I did notice the wildcat round laying on your desk. Even before I read your invitation. Hope you have a good name for it cuz .22-45 or 45-.22 sounds really boring.

Really nice grips. Now I see why some of the guys are still talking about them.

It's up to you, of coarse, but I think that roscoe in the picture deserves some EPS leather wrapped around it. Maybe with some fish scale tooling or just nicely boned. Even if you don't want to spend the money on semi-custom with the best tooling, you can still get nice EPS starting at about 70,00 for a plain one........But if I have learned anything about you, William, from this forum, if you get started on an order from EPS you will most likely end up with a one of a kind custom holster.   ;D

I have seen similar ones for 45 colt.  And was thinking of getting a set for my Schofield so I can get better at the point shooting.
It is a chamber adapter that will allow you to fire 22 LR in a 45 ACP for practice.
Correct?
If it were a 45 ACP necked to 22 LR William never would have called it an interesting 45.

Well I got to playing around with some wad cutters----and Got to thinking----sabot---why not sabots? Well I don't know beans about building a sabot round---how to make it fly apart---but I can make a pointy .45.
I set the wadcutter flush and left the .22HP out to the length of the .45.
I have only shot it single action----but the expanding sabot eases the way for the wadcutter---makes a good BIG hole.
I am starting to think about calling it a .45wadbot.

Well--this bullet--the .45wadbot----Well---it is just a lie.
It was not staged--it just happened. I noticed it in the background and I just ran with it.
Funny thing about pictures---they just happen---I guess that is how wild stories get started.
It was fun while it lasted. ;D ;D ;) :-*
