We were hoping for some here. But it all stayed north and east TX. I heard Bama got a decent dusting.

HEH. That looks like a lot of fun. Too bad ya don't have an old car hood, they move right along, but not as soft as that air mattress. We're supposed to get another 3-4 inches tomorrow. Isn't this 2 snows you've gotten this winter??? POWDERMAN.

Yep... Gotta love global warming..... Car hoods are great back in 93 we used one from a VW bug and it flew down the hills.

When I was a kid we'd pull our sleds for about 1 1/2 mile or so to a neighbors pasture and big hills. The hill we started on was pretty steep with a narrow creek at the bottom. It was a fast hill, didn't count on the cow path at the bottom, hit it, went airborne and straddled the creek. We moved to another hill.
Global warming is killing us too, temp got down below zero again Sat night. POWDERMAN.

Hay I can handle this global warming, temps are hovering around zero, that's great. From 10 above to 10 below, we are getting along just fine. Sorry to hear about all the stuff down there in Dixie. Get used to it, I got a freeling it will be back again this year then again next year for you guys. Rog

snow here in carolina is fun for everybody.. walked in the woods over a mile and a half yesterday..

ATLAW. Several years ago we had a lot of heavy rains and flooding. There was a flooded creek between several homes and freedom. One guy ran out of beer and cigs on the far side of the water. His so called friend would holler at him accross the water and make a big deal out of popping a top and lighting up. This went on for over a week til the water went down. A buddy did the same thing one winter to a guy on the cb who was iced in. He'd lock the mic down then pop a beer and then let the other guy listen as he flicked open his zippo and lit up. YEP, they were still friends though. POWDERMAN.

OK Guys, quite hogging the snow, send it back up here where it belongs. We are having a snow drought up here, we only have 12 inches on the ground, and we should have at least 24 inches by now. If we don't get a lot of snow between now and spring we face a dry spring and lots of forest fires. Our Aerial Gunner crews are having a hard time shooting wolves too. They need fresh snow to find the wolves, and deep snow to land the planes in so they can pick up what they shoot.

My nephew in Tennessee sent me a text pic of the snow they had there on Christmas day, It was his kids first ever white Christmas.

We've had several decent snows this winter and have noticed a huge absence of snowmen. I reckon todays kids just aren't into physical activity, or their parents never took the time to teach them. It's good to see parents like Matt and Heather taking the time to be with their kids, not enough of that anymore. POWDERMAN.

I believe they said this was the first white CHIRSTmas since the early 1800s down here in Bama. I know it's the first I've ever seen in my 65 years here.

If that report is correct not only has no one living here ever seen a white CHIRSTmas here in Bama but likely the grand parents of most all folks alive today didn't even see one here.

That's a long run without snow on December 25 finally broken. It just doesn't snow around here very often and is usually gone 24 hours later. There is still a LOT of snow around from this one. All north facing slopes are still solidly covered. Across the highway from me one neighbor's yard and drive is still solid white and I see no evidence they've even tried to get out. There is a huge ridge behind them to their south and their short driveway to the trailer is very steep. I'd sure not want to try to come down it with the busy highway at the bottom.

Theres no excuse for not seeing any snowmen or snow forts around here, other than the kids are too busy plaing video games, etc. Don't even see kids outside much, like it's too much like work. When I was a kid we hated to have to stay indoors summer or winter. There was nothing quite like getting wet and cold in the snow then going in the house for a nice hot cup of cocoa, and if we were lucky a marshmallow floating in it. POWDERMAN.

Don't say "IT'S FUN" out loud, my spouse might hear! She has been badgering us to drive to SEE snow! At 7 hours-plus one way away, I don't want to go! AND I DON'T WANT IT COMING HERE EITHER!!!!!

We had close to a foot of snow on the ground yesterday morning in the lousy State of NY where i live. Got another 4 inches to add to that in the afternood. It is snowing again now. They are calling for another 3 to 5 inches for today. I hate winter.

They are younger and healthier than me. This morning I see they have begun to stir around as two cars are up there today that weren't yesterday. Perhaps they were on vacation.

On my internet start up page on my work computer there was a little news headline 2 days ago that 49 of the 50 states
had snow. Florida was the only state that didn't!
