Yes it is a Model 10. Load was Buffalo Bore 158 gr SWCHP, standard pressure, the 20C load. 30 or so yards is all she went. Broadside in both lungs. That load and revolver is a great meat getter within bow ranges IMHO. Just shoot straight!  (:

Good job!  Thanks for the details.  I think a pencil barrel Model 10 is about perfect.
Vote them all out, EVERY election!
 
Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!

I too love the pencil barrel. Shame in S&W for not making them anymore.......but if they did I would be broke   (:    I was probably the last person in TX to carry one as a duty sidearm.

I read the Rangemaster monthly newsletter regularly and there was a self defense event that
occurred at that distance. Tom Givens does an excellent job with the details of these events
experienced by his students.

I guess it boils down to how much risk you want to take by playing the odds .
