5.56 NATO
« on: January 11, 2011, 11:17:00 AM »
Pardon me if I've missed something, but I noticed that Bud's has H&R's (NEF's - wish Bud's would decide) listed as .223/5.56NATO.  Is this a Bud's 'oops' or a change?

the model number designates it as a .223 handi.  Im sure it wouldnt matter if you shot 5.56 through it.  I know i do and im still here.

Bud's is all screwed up, he still lists NEF and H&R, there is no NEF anymore! http://www.hr1871.com/Brandtransition/ They also have rifles listed with shotguns and vice versa!  ::) They sure take their sweet time shipping firearms, much longer than the last one I ordered from them 2yrs ago, I ordered a Compact Superlight 44mag on Saturday the 1st, they charged my credit card on the 4th, they just sent me an email that it was in their shipping dept today, no tracking info yet, who knows how long they'll sit on it there.  :'(

Quick,

It is hit or miss with Bud's shipping department.  I've gotten a gun in 3 days and another time it took 2 weeks.  Last gun I ordered I got the email telling me it was in their shipping department, after my FFL called to tell me he had the gun. ???  If you have the email it is in Bud's shipping department it will probably leave with 24 hours, however it is anyone's guess when they will send you the email notice.  Least their pricing and inventory is usually pretty good on the H&Rs, but you have to search every nook and cranny on their website to see what they really have available.

Well, they did ship it today according to my account, no shipping email yet tho, so that's a step in the right direction. Yesterday I followed their priority customer inquiry directions and sent an internal email to find out what the hold up was, and asked why my credit card was charged a week ago and it hadn't shipped yet, I still haven't got an answer on that, so much for priority treatment!  ::)

Maybe they're just so busy, they can't be any more efficient, but I sure don't agree with their policy on charging for their orders a week before they ship, that's totally out of line with business done everywhere else online, I've place thousands of online orders, seldom does anyone charge before they ship, they always charge credit cards on the day of shipment.

Concerning the 5.56/223 Rem question, they aren't the same.
