Dark Bore w/ Strong Rifling

Good Morning Everyone,
Looking at a 7mm Mauser with a dark bore but strong rifling. Not under serious consideration for buying but wanted to get opions...

Clean it good with a bronze brush and Hoppe's #9 then soak a patch or two with Kroil penetrating oil and really oil up the bore. Let it set for about 24 hrs then use the bronze brush and Hoppe's and clean it again. That Kroil oil will get under most any deposit and lift it and it dissolves rust.

Thanks for the Helpful Hints Guys. I'm a Mauser Fan but don't want to but a Wall Piece.
