Hi everyone, my name is Alan and I just joined the forum yesterday. I recently worked out a trade for a used Freedom Arms 83 in .454 Casull - I don't even have it yet - and I found this site while looking for a FA forum. It seems like a really nice site, full of kindred spirits, and I'm glad I found it.
I'm a husband, father, and a public school teacher. I have been a shooter, hunter, and reloader all of my adult life. I also have a Harley Electraglide and I'm an avid motorcycle rider. I especially like shooting trap, and I really like grouse hunting. I hunt spring turkey, but haven't gotten one yet. I hunt small game, and plan to start hunting predators soon. I've gotten my share of deer, but it's a love/hate relationship because I'd rather hunt something I can put in my jacket or vest and walk out of the woods with, easily.
I'm a big Ruger fan. I have several Blackhawks, a SRH Alaskan, a single six hunter, and a red label over/under. I also love Weatherby rifles, I have two mark Vs one in .270 wby mag and the other in .375 H&H mag. I always wanted a Freedom Arms, and I'm really excited about getting it and trying it out.
