I'll also bring a hand gonne (cannon on a stick).
I don't care what you bring, you just better kill some cancer cell targets ;D

I've had my exercise for the day!!! it started out that i just wanted to test fire the 1" Dahlgren with a cannister load.
The Dahlgren was loaded with 200g of FFg GOEX black powder, the cannister load is 12 .440 lead balls. The target was a cardboard box placed 25' in front of the Dahlgren. Now here is where the exercise comes into play, just as i'm ready to light the fuse, the 2 horses show up to see what i'm doing. So i have to walk to the barn and give the horses feed to keep them away from the target area. I figured i could walk back and fire the Dahlgren, before the horses finished their feed........WRONG.
Once again just before lighting the fuse, the horses showed up to let me know they ate their feed, and wanted to see what was going on. So i had to walk back to the barn and lock the horses up, then walk back to the target area. Anyway, the cannister round did o.k. at 25', the pattern was nothing to brag about, will probably set the targets 15' to 20' in front of the Dahlgren. Want to make sure the targets get the full effect. Here's a pic of todays test fire:

Have a few things to do today to get ready for the shoot tomorrow.........
As Far as i know, everybody that said they were going to show up, knows where it's at.
If you are not sure, either post or send a PM, and i will PM the directions this evening.
Rain or shine, i'm shooting tomorrow, and if nobody from this forum shows up........i'm still going to have a good time ;D

Bring ammo.......Here's what i have..........35 rounds for the Ballonabwehrkanone, and 25 cannister rounds for the Dahlgren.........Speaking of corral, i have to pen the horses up before everybody gets here, then fill 30 balloons with helium, and tie them together in a giant balloon cluster...............you'll see why UFO's don't land here ;D

I had so much fun!!!, i'm tired!!! Y'all don't know how much this shoot means to me.
Was almost dead a few months ago, and to be able to go outside now and target shoot with cannons, makes a big difference in my life. It was great to see Tim and Darlene, and Dale, and thanks to my sister for printing out the cancer targets.
Now i'm waiting to see what pictures Tim is going to post...........

CW. I have a twin to that Dahlgren.  Only difference is that I have added a brass "slap hammer" for shooting musket caps.  I really like the idea of my Dahlgren firing almost immediately when I pull the lanyard rather than light the fuse and wait, hoping nothing passes in front of the muzzle (like a fast flying bird or a dog)
Sure wish I could have attended the "Cancer Cannon Shoot". :-\
