How about them Pittsburgh Steelers?
« on: January 15, 2011, 04:02:08 PM »
I worked through lunch today and left early from work for the 1 hour drive home to catch the kick off. I was pretty pissed off by the end of the first half. >:( I even sent a text to my boss and said I should have just stayed and worked seeing as I need the money so bad. I missed the last 2 weeks of games so I could work but being the play offs I had to come home to watch it. By the way the last 2 games I missed were the only 2 I have missed in about 10 years. :o I just can't believe we pulled it out in the second half. I have seen it before but it just felt like the ball was rolling wrong for them. You guys might remember how pumped up I was when we went to the Supper Bowl a couple years ago. I am not qiut that pumped this year because we have to play New England next and they are playing very good ball. We have beat them before and if the ball rolls right we could do it next week but I ain't holden my breath on that one. I would like to believe we are only 1 game away from the Supper Bowl. If we can beat NE I think we could win the big game. Well take care Dale

FINALLY!   Finally see someone that's not all mouth about their team and doing nothing but bad-talking the other team.   Always find it sad that someone thinks their favorite team is "the greatest team ever" so long as they win but have them lose and there's always some excuse but never that they just played poorly or simply got beat by better playing of the opponent.  It's always blamed on bad calls or something along that line.    have seen a call made they hate but when the same thing happens to another team, it's all good.   Gotta love the hypocrisy in sports.  ;D
No personal favorite but I was kinda hoping Pit would've lost just to shut up some folks that go on and on and on about the team. They're more of those excuse finders usually.   ::)  I do hope NE takes a loss just to stick it in the face of all the Pats fans up here complaining and badmouthing the Jets partially because the coach talks bad about them.  The fans are doing exactly what they're complaining about.  Again...gotta love the hypocrisy.    sadder still is if you point this out to them, they simply don't get it.
What I'd love to see would be for NE to face off and lose against Seattle; lose to a team with a losing record.

Was glad to see Pit win ...
Of Course I'm hoping for a GB /PIT Superbowl, if we can just get by those bears who I fully expect will win against  Sea today.

I think the Pack will beat the Bears, they are hot right now.  Glad to see my Steelers come through in the second half, the first had me worried.

I was wrong about NE and am glad because I would rather play the Jets on our home field than have to go to NE to play them. Dale

was glad to see them fall also , I think Pit stands a better chance against Jets. I don't think they areas good a team as NE and just got lucky. They have been getting lucky all year. Sanchez more inconsistent than Brady or Big Ben.

Pitt defense will definitely shut down jets run game LT will not have any yardage gains.
If they pressure Sanchez in the pocket he will get rattled,  after a few Palamaulu sacks he will be good
to throw at least a  few interceptions.

My bet Steelers  27- 17

Dale,

Was honestly unable to sleep last night , Like a kid in a candy shop I am so looking forward to a great weekend.
Hoping the NFL gods smile down upon a GB/PIT SuperBowl.

Haven't been this worked up in years.

The Seven Dwarfs were marching through the forest one day and they all fell into a deep, dark ravine.
Snow White, who was following along, peered over the edge of the steep dark chasm and called out to
the fallen dwarfs.

From the depths of that deep dark hole a tiny voice returned, "The DALLAS COWBOYS are Super Bowl contenders."

Snow White thought to herself, "Oh Thank God... at least Dopey's survived!"

I am getting more and more pumped for this weekend!!!!!!!!! :o ;D Here we go again just one game away from the big one. I just spent 2 hours on Utube watching Steelers videos. ;D Yes that would be a great match up GB and the Steelers. The more I think about it and the closer this game gets I really think the Steelers can win this game. They kept Troy to much in the secondary last week and he did not have any real plays I can think of rite now. I bet he will be up close and personal this week though. ;D ;D ;D Dale

I am so excited!!! I am starting to watch all the pre game stuff on tv now. I just can't wait. There is about 6 more hours to kick off. It sure is going to be a very long 6 hours. Oh and I just can't believe that coach Cower has picked the Jets to win this game. :o :( I loved Cower as a coach and have much respect for him but you would think he would be loyal to the Steelers seeing as he coached them for many years. He was even at one of their practices last week. Dale

I don't know why the Steelers do this. We have been kicking their butts and now all of a sudden it is a one score game. I am a little upset. Dale

Dale I enjoyed both games today and looking forward to the Super Bowl.  I watch the 1st one on black and white tv and was rather disappointed.  Two good games to day.  The Steelers game was interested in the 1st half and got more interesting in the second half.  The game proved that there is no free seats on the football field and need to be in the game 110%

I have to say it feels like it's been a month since we played and beat the Jets. It won't be long now. I just can't wait. I would really like to see the Steelers win their 7th trophy. This is going to be a great game and it should go down in history as being one of the best Super Bowls ever. I am hopping that all this media hype is getting to the GB players. The Steelers have gone through this a few times recently and are kind of used to it. I hope it nerves get the best of GB because both teams are pretty equaly matched. Take care DaleGO STEELERS !!!!!!!!!!
