plus one to the keltec pmr 30. These rounds should work preety good in my single six or my savage 93 for that matter. Its nice that there making .22 mag ammo designed for pistols now
common sense is slowly becoming uncommon

I was just thinking the same thing about my Single Six Convertible.  I have never veiwed the 22 Mag as a defenisive option although I supose its better than nothing.  Up until now there was never really ammo that addressed the needs of pistol shooters in this caliber, but with better bullet designs, low flash powders and powders designed to wring the most velocity out of a short barrel, starts to change the game just a tad bit.  I might have to pick up a couple of boxes of this ammo despite the price and keep a couple on hand.  Pehaps if there is enough interest and sales generated into this offering by Hornady they will come up with something even more effective.

Out of a rifle length barrel...this ought to prove pretty devastating!  Have had a hankering for a nice bolt action 22 rim fire with a bull barrel the last year or so and just havent really decided on model yet.  I might have to go back and take a harder look at that Savage 93 now!  Bet this would prove considerably more effective on Coyotes and Bobcats raiding the chicken coop (@ 50 yards from the cabin) at night than the Ruger 10/22 I now have.

Gonna have to go some to beat the Remington Premier.
33 grain v-max is a nasty little bugger. Looks like a decent
suggested price though.

I guess I missed the new Gold Dot® Short Barrel® Personal Protection .22 WMR load from Speer
http://www.speer-ammo.com/products/short_brl.aspx
Maybe a few more manufacturers will jump on board and come out with new loads for the .22 WMF.

Looks like a good one for the Smith Model 650. I will give them a try when the duck pond
becomes a shooting range again!
