I always hunt grouse. Used to make special trips out to hunt but now just hunt during ML season.  I usually go up a couple of days before season and hunt grouse now. They make excellent camp meat. We have a grouse dinner the night before opening morning its a tradition for us.

I hunt them every year during Bear season.  They are as dumb as a stick, some of them you can walk up to and kick, and if they do fly off they just go 40 feet and sit in a tree and look at you.  Larry
