Wisconsin Concealed Carry Law
« on: January 17, 2011, 04:49:41 PM »

This has been in the headlines today.

Do you think this will happen?

Will you carry?

What will you carry if it happens?

It'll be interesting to see how much bullspit that gets attatched like mandatory training, permit "fees", conditions, etc. Personaly, I want a simple constitution carry, like Alaska.

The new gun friendly Gov. will not allow the bullspit you speak of, I hope. I want a compact Glock in 45 ACP for CC.

I was a PT police officer which allowed me to carry, but seldom did, but it is nice to be allowed the choice again as allowed under my constitutional rights. Getting recertified this summer and have a PT job set up for LE, so eventually will be able to carry either way.

I have no worries of Walker signing a CCW bill, I just worry more of how watered down the bill might be when it gets to his desk. You know the democrats will have input, and many of them operate off of emotion and insecurities, rather than common sense and logic.

We need a constitutional carry with no strings attatched. A citizen should be able to carry a handgun just the same as he can carry a screwdriver or a pack of bubblegun on his person.

I ask that you make it Manysodas friendly. Good luck on this, you will soon know who was really on your side and who was doing the math with the former  governor.

Does anyone know if they will also address the law (or regulation) that requires us to unload and case our weapons in a vehicle?? I believe it is a DNR requirement, right??

If it is not being used for hunting purposes, I dont know why we need to follow hunting regulations.

Hard to defend yourself in a vehicle if the weapon is unloaded and cased.

I really hope we get a cc law. It is important to me. I go into Milwaukee now and again and don't feel safe in my own truck. A few weeks ago I was in Milwaukee, in a part that isn't even close to the worst part. 11 am. I here shooting. Just 3 shots  this time. It worries me when I go through the city with my tools. They know I have them, it makes me a target. I must have heard 1,000 shots over the years. I went to the city with my kid and told him we need to get out early. He was afraid to go. My Ruger Mark lll 22 pistol would be a comfort.
