Savage Mdl 24? in 357 Mag.
« on: December 17, 2003, 07:32:47 AM »
Several years ago I purchased a Savage O/U Mdl 24? It has a 20 Ga. on bottom and a 357 Mag. on top, stock and forend are wood with pressed checkering. I can't seem to find any info in old catalogs or anywhere about the 357 Mag chambering. Someone once told me it was made with synthetic stocks for the Air Force and then something about the deal fell through and Savage restocked then in wood and sold them to the public. Not sure about that though. The 357 Mag is exceptionaly accurate in it. Anyone have any info on this particular variation?

That is a real nice science site Paul but I didn't see anything about a Savage firearm. Did I miss something?

Wow Paul,
That second link was very useful, thanks.  That first one though....looked like a Congressman McDermott campaign page!

thanks and regards,

Thanks Paul, I posted a question on the forum. Hopefully I'll get some info on this model.
