Does anyone watch the Colbert Report and the Daily show? I think they are both very good entertainment. I think John Stewart is brilliant. So smart that alot of people refuse to go on his show.

Used to watch The Daily Show a bit. Haven't really watched it lately though. Never did really get into the Colbert Report. They are at least a bit more entertaining of a way to get the news than the regular big news corps though.

I try to catch them when I can but that is about two or three times a month. Enjoy both very much, nice to be able to laugh at the political stuff otherwise one would be crying about it. By trying to be funny they both make more sense most of the time than the "serious" pundits.

Absolutely when ever possible, they are much more thought provoking than the main stream media from either side.

Humor about politics is always fun. Jon Stewart seems to take a shot at all of them which is even better.
I don't know if he is brilliant but I would say he's got some good writers.

Some folk are afraid they may become "tainted" if they listened to Stewart or Colbert. Can't have any humor in our lives now can we?

colbert is a numbnut. stewart i can stomach, at least he goes after both sides equally; although i do not watch his show frequently.

It is not the only sorce of news I get, but they are much more thought provoking than the main stream media and WAY more credible than FOX and yes I also listen to NPR. Thanks to my father I am a news junkie!

They report on current events. It follows a pretty standard format. News story, then a punch line. Rinse and repeat. You hear what's going on in the world with some humor thrown in. It's really not hard at all to parse the jokes from the reporting.

Put them in the same catagory as Bill Mahr. Don't consider them newsmen at all. Comedians with a different shtick. gypsyman

If you can get it watch the AL jazer (probably spelled wrong) english news (the arab news network) you'll get a whole new view of the world than you get from our don't worry, be happy, network news.
