Henry pump/lever model # question
« on: January 20, 2011, 04:03:52 AM »
I bought a henry pump 22 "round barrel" and something was wrong with the firing pin,got it at a gun show, fixed now but i noticed the model number was H001.22

Ok, so the Henry site shows the H001s as lever actions "have a new one of those" Question is did the older pump models use H001 or has this gun been run through a chop shop or something?

Thanks

Call Henry you will more than likely get the owner and he will give you a straight answer.

AFAIK, the barrels and receiver covers on both the H001 levergun H003 pumpgun are identical.

Your gun "might" have had an H001 barrel installed at assembly because a properly-stamped barrel wasn't available (or stamping not checked).

If it works OK, I wouldn't fret - if you have any mechanical/accuracy issues, zip an email out to Mr. Imperato (Henry Prexy).

He usually takes care of ALL Henry customers, tuit' suite.

Be sure to mention your firing pin issue - he most likely will want to know or take action on that.
