Fabulous Civil War photographs
« on: January 20, 2011, 08:55:43 AM »
I just received this link in an email from a co-worker.  It's just a page of very clear, nice Civil War photographs, no text to read.  Just enjoy.  And i did do a search for the URL, and came up empty, so I hope this hasn't been posted before.

After pondering, I think my favorite is the one of the little powder monkey.  That photo captures the allure of military service and maritime adventure, without any of the horrors of war.  I hope that little tyke made it back home to his mother.

Thanks Avyctes

What a tragedy and totally avoidable.
The sole purpose of government is to protect your liberty. The Constitution is not to restrict the people, but to restrict government.  Ron Paul

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. - Thomas Jefferson
