A few days ago I arranged for Ten-Ring Percision to do an action job on my Ruger Redhawk. I've never had a modified revolver before, had a few in my hand, but never owned or got to use them. After discussing what I wanted and expected , they told me they would do the " normal" action job, which includes recutting the forcing cone..recutting the crown ..polishing the cylinder bores and chamfering and numbering ..along with the trigger work , polishing, both in single and double action. I can figure out what everything is and why ..except the recutting of the forcing cone.......anyone know why ? and what effect this will have ?
I really like this revolver, its the 4" stainless version, its built tank-tuff....... Hopefully this will make me an outstanding gun for general carry around camp.
