Anybody got info in this model.
MSRP is $700
It is a cast frame & slide--I think.
Looks Good with some nice features.

I already have the 1911s that I want so I haven't been keeping up on the news for this model William.  I did get to shoot one at a major IDPA match last June at the Remington booth.  It seems like a very nice gun for the money.  USA made, can't beat that.

Another discussion furthur down the page on the R1. I'm well over 1100 rounds with no jams yet. My Colt doesn't like to go that long w/o cleaning ! If you like the 3 dot sights, you're good to go with maybe some trigger tweaking. Plenty OK for the $$ IMHO.

I know for sure the frame is case as you can see a slight cast line on mine near the trigger guard.  It is an excellent 1911 very tight and clean looking.  I've only put around 500 rounds through mine and it has not had a problem. Sights are excellent.  My only dislike is the the flat mainstring housing and the end of the back grip is sharp.  I will file the sharp point off and replace the housing other than that I highly recommend it it shoots as well or better than my Colts.  The price is good and it's US made.  I was orginally looking for a Remington Rand (carried one for 4 months in RVN as a 60 gunner) but didn't want to pay the pay the price.  So now I have a real Remington Arms

I have one and really love it. It is more accurate than my other .45's. Fit and finish is top notch.I did put a beavertail grip safety and a rounded Commander hammer on it. Am waiting for the one in 38 Super to come out.

This is the one my better half got me for christmas.Custom silver grips inlayed with gold,custom made hoster.I only got to run 2 mags tru it,Then i fell landed with my shoulders on bathtub still hurts!!Doctors still trying to find out why i passed out.Haven't worked since 01/06/11,Have no id how long i'll be off.Was thinking about spending the winter with momma instead of on the road,but not like this.
