Drill and tap for scope ?
« on: December 18, 2003, 01:34:02 AM »
Off hand I forgot the size of the standard threads size for mounts for a scope. Is it 6-32 or 6-40?
Thanks in advance.

You're bouncing around the right ones... 6X48 and 8X40 are the standard sight / scope threads.

With Iowegan :)
Most STANDARD holes are 6x48. The ones with some forethought, or that have been redone are 8x40. But, there are still some oddballs floating around out there, not to mention the METRIC sizes! (shudder!)....Bug.
