I posted the following on another site a couple of weeks ago. Thought you guys might be interested.
I just spoke to Winchester and these are in fact a reissue of the Browning Traditional Hunter with Marbles front and rear tang peep sights. The barrels are made by Miroku, Browning's manufacturer in Japan. By the way, the .38-55 version is now out on the market also. These were exclusively made for and distributed by Davidsion's. Legendary Guns Inc, Phoenix, AZ (602-242-1195) has some of both calibers in stock for $1,195 each.
.45-70: twist 1:20, bore/grove dia .450"/.456" (.003" groves)
.38-55: twist 1:18, bore/grove dia .373"/.379" (.003" groves)
Obviously these are not targeting the BPCR market, but will likely be attractive to the CAS guys.
