Interesting. I followed some of the links from that page too. It was curious to see some calling the idea that thousands of blacks fought for the Confederacy a myth invented by the SCV, and saying that there was no evidence to support that claim (not an exact quote Iron, just boiling down the verbiage to the essential message) when Mr. F. Douglass himself wrote to Lincoln that there were thousands of blacks "ready to shoot down any loyal troops and do all that soldiers may do to destroy the Federal government and build up that of the rebels." As well as many letters from Federal solders that mention companies, if not regiments, of blacks fighting (as in actually shooting, not just digging, cooking, or as musicians) for the Confederacy. And records from Federal POW camps showing black soldiers that were "guests" of those clean and luxurious establishments.
