Everyone ready for round - ? who knows - this one looks to be a mix of ICE and Snow depending on were you live in the state .

The north 1/2 should get about 6" of snow and the south will get about 1/2" of ice --  you all be careful out there , it could get NASTY .  :o

stimpy I used to drive from BG area to the old Standard Oil refinery alot. Retired now and don't have to worry about snow & ice. I got the tractor out of the barn just today and plowed the last snow. I even plowed a path from the barn to the 50yd. backstop. Fueled up the generator-let it snow!
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

Our forecaster (cute, big bumpers) had a winter storm watch posted calling for 6-8 inches, got up to clear sunny sky no snow on the ground so i got out my imaginary plow and plowed all the imaginary snow and enjoyed a nice sunny day.

I'll get the wood box loaded tomorrow, and diesel in the tractor. As long a I-75 is passable, I'll be in Lima for the show this weekend. gypsyman

In NW ohio we got about 3 to 4 inches last night and nothing as of 1PM today.  Blizzard Bill (local weather personality famous for freakin' out over a 1/2 inch of snow 20 years ago) is saying the sky is falling again.  NWS says 7 to 10 inches by tomorrow night, maybe some ice.  Lookin' out my window is just looks like winter to me.  I've got food, beer, generator gasoline, tractor full of diesel, (3) separate heaters in my house, so I am all set.  Only real problem is it's too cold my dogs to play outside so they are gettin' cabin fever.   I would head to the reloading room in the barn, but wife is not home and there are two teenagers loose in my house. :o

Enjoy the snow!

BTW, can someone give me directions to the Lima Gun show?

thanks

Got off the phone with a customer of mine just a bit ago. He lives in Plain City,Oh. Down around the Columbus area. His next door neighbor was outside as we talked, chipping off 1/2'' of ice from his truck. So I know it's on the way. Hope we get more snow than ice, easier to puch snow with the tractor, and drive in it, than on ice. gypsyman P.S. bikerbeans, just read your post. We're not far apart, listen to Blizzard Bill myself. And I've got a 9 year old, and a 12 year old running loose, as the school system here in Oregon shut down. So I know what ya mean about getting to the reloading room. I to, filled the woodbox upstairs, and put wood in the basement, extra food, as I didn't want to dip into my stash, and an extra bottle of gin.(just for medicinal purpose you understand!) I sure don't plan on going anywhere for a day or so. gypsyman

We got freezing rain , then ice, then rain, and then ice and freezing rain again with high wind. Here in Butler county we had about a half to three quarters of an inch of ice on everything when I went to bed last night. Woke up to allot of trees and limbs down. One landed on my fence and busted it up. Allot of people without power too. The roads and temperatures aren't bad though until you factor in the wind or go into a parking lot.....Good news is I don't have to shovel anything and I've got plenty of beer... ;D

We ended up with about a 1/2 of ice here in IL last night.  Had a limb go down on the powerlines got to see some pretty arcs.  luckly there was a temp spike of about 35 degrees before the heavy wind moved in and I think that loosened up alot of the ice in the trees and saved us a little.  My grandparents lost their fridge, washer, dryer, and there deep freeze when it power went out.  Luckily we had surge protectors on the tv and both computers and saved them,  killed 3 surge strips, just got them all changed out and interent just got back up in time:)

Hi All,

Last weekend Blizzard Bill and the other weather gurus where predicting the end of the world in NW Ohio.  I got maybe 6 or 7 inches, it was windy & cold but not real bad, not much ice and no whiteouts.

Yesterday it was to supposed to snow a little, I got close to 10 inches at my place.  Where was Blizzard Bill when I needed him?  I was going to take my new chrony to the club tomorrow but we are supposed to get several more inches tonight and tomorrow and without an ATV or snow sled it would be impossible to make it down the lane at the club.  This keeps up I am have to start pulling bullets so I have some empty brass to reload. :P
