Today I took two rifles out to my home shooting range. I was trying out my CVA stainless Scout and I also shot my 06 Handi. I shot many handloads but the ones that were best was the starting load of 60 grains of some leftover H4831sc with an R-P case and Rem 9 1/2 primer with a 165 grain Speer Hot-Cor flat base bullet. I had only two rounds left with this load and I'll have to load some more and see if they shoot this well again. I will also try my old stand by load I used for an -06 many years ago which was 56 grains of W760 or H414 with a 165 grain Hornady Interlock.
The Redfield Revolution scope is a 2-7x33mm with accurange reticle. I think I prefer the plex reticle more than the accu-range but further shooting will maybe switch my thinking on this. I hope to get my Chrony out when the weather improves. Here are some pics.
