I didn't get any replies in the "Handgun General" forum so I thought I'd give the SA forum a try.  Doesn't anyone own a BFR is 50 AE?

I've been looking high and low online and locally for a BFR in 480/475 and can't locate one anywhere.  I've been able to find the 7 1/2" model but not the 6 1/2" one that I prefer.  CDNN has the 6 1/2" BFR in 50 AE for a good price but I'm not sure I want to mess with the rebated rim, head spacing on the mouth and taper crimp of this cartridge.  I am currently loading for 50 AE as I have a Desert Eagle in that caliber already but am not sure about keeping lead bullets from creeping in the BFR.

Does anyone here have a BFR in 50 AE that could provide me with some insight as to if they are having issues with bullet creep?

I really want the 475 but the price is right on the 50.

Thanks.

personaly id pay a bit more for the 475. Its easier to work with and components are easier to come by and its more powerful on the top end.

No 50AE BFR experience but do have 50AE FA experience.  The limitation of the 50AE is the taper crimp.  Limit your bullets to 325/330 and you will be fine.

Hard to believe this one hasn't sold yet but if you're still looking here's a decent priced BFR in 475L.

Wow, thanks for the link.  That's a great deal on that revolver.  Although I'm looking for a 6 1/2", I'd have definitely considered getting the 7 1/2" for that price.

It appears it's SPF though.
