It took me a long time to get back from U tube, I wanted to watch every word the man said. And who says there is no leadership in the Republican party, we have so many GOOD people coming forward right now that they overshadow each other. I wish we could elect a ten person presidency there are so many good ones out there.

I don't think Mr. West is trying to scare anyone TM. I think he is just telling the truth about Islam that many lies have covered up. He is not the only one to to have said basically the same thing. Does it make everyone certifiably nuts that have the same belief as him, or did he just say something that you don't like to hear? Anyone that has a different opinion than you of what Islam is about, you are right on top of it to discredit them as kooks or wackos.
I don't know much about Mr. West, but I do believe what he said in the video clip is true.

Whats the problem? He brings up some historical facts about islamic aggression, and sheds light on how they are probably not going to stop until they make the world islam. I doubt historical fact had much to do with problems he had while in the military.

Yes I can, but prefer to wait and give him more rope. Suffice to say at this point his original choice of Joyce Kaufman for his of Chief of Staff, another right wingnutter calling for hanging immigrants and censure/censor of news media and other nutter stuff, was a huge gaff...so huge he had to replace her. Displaying how slippery this character is he pulled the race AND sexism card to slide out of criticism on his choice and far out views. Then he insults and denigrates two muslim members of Congress because he is a terminal anti-islamic/islamophobe war partyista. Further displaying gaps in judgement, this junior wanabee takes a swipe at Cantor and upcoming Congressional calendar. Then we have a checkered military record.

Rather than get into a pi$$ing match with you right now, I prefer you research this guy with your very own computor, and to give this guy some rope...eventually proving how gullible some so-called conservatives and T-Party members have become, or disingenous. Having served in the navy for 22 yrs i seriously doubt that you are as well traveled or as well versed in other cultures or have a more well rounded view of other cultures, as I am. I have lived with and walked among most of the worlds cultures, seen the pyramids, Rome, the Acropolis, made many friends and more acquainteces, studied most of the worlds religions (all of them have the same basic rules except one) respect your parents and elders, do unto others, don't lie,cheat or steal, DO NOT KILL that is all except one. The man that has worked with many of our administrations on mid east peace , Salomon Berry is a good friend. However you are welcome to your personal opinion but you should not delude yourself that it is the only correct one because the world is what it is not what we wish it to be.

The trouble with the military that TM alluded to many posts ago but never fully explained. Col West is the guy who shot his 9mm real close to a captured terrorist to persuade him to talk. What I understand the bad guy revealed where some captured Americans were being held. Most sane folks thought Col West should have got a medal, instead they fined him and drummed him out. The more I hear this guy, the more I like him. His speech at the Conservative political action conference is very good. I think he is a very intelligent man.
His speech is around 30 minutes, but he says a lot. He says things like "Our Constitution is for a moral and religious people", "Americas motto is "In God We Trust". We need to honor our language, because its who we are.
He will never support abortion as a means for birth control. He says we need to hold together the institution of marriage, because the break down of the American family leads to Government dependence. He also says that he will never let Israel down. He talks about the Constitutional authority of the government, and that we will never survive as a bureaucratic nanny state.

Lots of stuff in his speech that liberals love to hate.
