Anyone have one or tried them? See them at gun shows on occasion. Thanks!

Can you tell me more? How rugged is it? Anything break? Accuracy with rifle and with slugs?

Oh, just thought of more questions. What choke is the 20 gauge? Are the 20 gauge and 30/30 barrels well regulated? Anything else helpful to know about them? Thanks!  8)

The gun has a Williams peep installed.  I only used shot in the 20 ga and it appears to be regulated with the rifle.  I will be shooting slugs this spring.  I dont remember if the gun has windage or elevation adjustment, I will have to check.  The gun is well built, the bluing is very good on the one I have.

I look forward to the range report! I saw one at a gun show in a bit rough shape with some rust on triggers and a cracked roughed up stock for $375. I was looking for a Stevens Model 35 tip up pistol with the longer barrel, and a Savage 24C in .22LR/20 gauge. Didn't find them once again but the search continues...30/30 would sure hit harder than .22!  ;)

Low power cast bullet loads can be made up for the .30-30.  They are great small game & plinking loads.

They seem to be pretty well made. I reamed the chambers in one for a hunting buddy.  To 30/30 Ackley & 3" 20 ga and he liked it much better.  Hunted hogs with it in Central FL.

So it's 2 3/4" in 20 gauge then. Good to know that it will withstand the 3 inch magnum pressures after reamed out to that.  8) I will have to keep my eyes open at shows...

There was plenty of barrel steel thickness in the one I reamed.  It could also use choke tubes.  The working pressures in the 3" 20 are no higher than the 2 3/4"   The rifle barrel shot very well.  Not a real pretty gun, but one that shoots well & is handy can sure grow on you  ;)

I have been using my Staggs and really like it.  It is light low recoil and short....  It is not a nice german drilling nor is it a nice Valmet  combo gun but for a 20/30-30 it is great...

It is lighter, double triggers, open sights and rare.

Evidently they had some patent infringement issue and produced the combo guns for only a few years.
