239 Shoulder Holster
« on: December 19, 2003, 01:57:19 PM »
Been seriously thinking of getting a shoulder holster for my 239. Been looking at various brands an just can't make up my mine. Anyone have a preference or one for sale. I'd like to know if there is one better or another and your opinion. It will be used for when I'm out to the ranch working and hunting, not for formal carry, just need comfort. Thanks.

well, lets see if i can type this morning.
I just came off a safari, was looking for holsters fo concealed carry. i searched a lot of forums, here, the 1911, which has a forum for leather, pistolsmith, those kinda folks.
I seached the web, looked for holsters, western holsters, ect. anything i could think of that would relate to my thoughts. Get ya a pot o coffee, sum seegars or cigs, if ya use em, an set down for tha ride. was kinda fun.
now doan go overlookin those wstern rig makers cause they do this stuff too. Matter o'fact BIG ED here at this place makes em too, i think.
i ended up gettin mine from horseshoe leather, i think he makes a rig like you want, but don't hold me to that.
The forums will give ya some openions, good and bad, thats always tha way.
much luck lookin. I will say that, fer me, i want to see what everbodys got to offer. e-mail em an ask em questions, most will respond- due to tha season i was searchin for em i guess sum o them boys was real busy and couldn't get to it. those that did was real nice.
The choices for types of leather was another issue fer me, an in the end was the thing/criteria that it all hung on.
Good luck.

That's my point exactly, something that is comfortable without having to keep adjusting it over and over during the day.
