I swear...
« on: February 10, 2011, 01:13:26 PM »
In spite of  attending more years of education; people grow more stupid every day....

     Check this out:

 http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/index.ssf/2011/02/man_faces_misdemeanor_charge_o.html

Even though they may be stupid, one would think they could at least mind their own business.  While hunting for them, I have killed hundreds of coon over the years with my Airedales.  If these boneheads could go back past the "statute of limitations"..I would probably be a candidate for execution !

MAN !!  ..Ya just can't fix STUPID !!!

You have got to be kidding me! That is crazy!  I am blessed to be able to say that I am pretty sure my neighbors wouldn't have a problem with us protecting our property from stray animals.  It is a shame that in todays society this could even happen!  What morons!!!

Words, other than some pretty foul ones, fail me right now!  The taxpayers should enforce the laws against criminal stupidity on that prosecutor.

there is no hope for this country. I guess the guy should have intervened and got between the racoon and the dog and risked a bite from a wild animal.

And they charged the kid that filmed it? Does that mean if you see a racoon in the street and watch as it gets smashed by traffic they can charge you for it becuase you didnt do anything about it?

Sadly you'd be wrong about that. We have neighbors bordering us who will call the law in a heart beat if they even suspect such. They called the Sherriff on me for shooting a cat they had no clue who shot. Perhaps she did then called them to me. Trust me given any excuse they will call them even tho when we first got out here they both told me they shot dogs and cats all the time. If ya don't know who ask Matt. Hint they have chickens and gave him some eggs when he was building the new home.

The downward spiral continues. Got neighbors here with that ability as well. To keep the law off of them they report anything and anybody, yet they freely admit poaching and pretty much doing what they want. It all depends on who's around which tack they set.

It's lawyers! The trouble with the country is toooooooooooooooooooooooo many lawyer's.
98% of the lawyers should be given 24 hrs to leave the country, and the first 12 hrs to decide which 2% stay's.If you give them enough rope, they become prosecutors and judges.

Blumer said it would be different if the dog had gotten the raccoon on its own and killed it without human intervention. In that case, it’s nature.

This confused me,  technically the dog did get the coon on its own,  its not like they caught it and then fed it to the dog.  The dog also killed the coon without human intervention,  the way I see it just becuase they watched it doesn't mean that they were intervening, or did I miss something on that?   Other than that all I can say is WOW.

That is one of the reasons I keep a dog----they quickly learn to stay away from skunks---at least mine did.
Last time I checked a coon and a dog was a pretty fair fight.
Jury should say not guilty and fine the prosecutor court cost.

It's not the lawyers to fault; it's the jury who awards the verdict. If all these stupid litigation's were lost because the jury found the defendant not guilty- the lawyers wouldn't waste their time in trying to win these cases. stupid jurors!!!

Even though there are a bunch of stupids running around...there is a warning for us. If we MUST video such an event, either make sure the video is never found by the wrong party...and do not video any faces or identifying marks in the whole event.

Now we can clearly understand the 3-S rule...shoot..shovel...shut up...

this is just plain stupid  if killing a coon with a dog then is killing a hog with a dog the same thing take a look on yout tube and I bet you can see all kinds of viedoes of dogs killing something . I think a lot of people should send the judge a bunch of viedoes such as this to show him how stupid it is to let the case get that far I for one wish I had a email address of the prosecutor I do believe I would voice my opinion to him  D Crockett

They charged the juveniles too.  The "adult" kid said Not Guilty.  I would agree.  I hope the juveniles and their parents said Not Guilty too.  The video, and probably the kids taunting the dog to "kill it" doesn't help the sheriff look the other way.  Too bad this sheriff started life as an adult and didn't have a youth to remember before he put them in handcuffs and hauled them to jail.  Stupid bleeding heart Liberals.  Thank God I was born and raised in the South where stuff like this is not supposed to see the light of day.  If my Dad had been involved and the sheriff had said it wasn't fitting, I would have learned the lesson from Dad and not from a Court of Law at Taxpayer expense, if there is a lesson here to learn and I am not saying there is.

They are NOT GUILTY of animal cruelty...just guilty of being kids (and taking a "politically incorrect" video from a Liberal viewpoint).

I was visiting Pops this summer, he asked me to sort out a problem for his neighbor. The neighbor had 32 racoons in his apple tree that night when I went to see him. A box of 22lr shells and it was sorted out. The neighbor asked if i wanted paid. Nope was just trying to help. He held the spot light anyway, I think that was the hard part.

Remember this is the country were Mike Vick gets 18 months in prison for killing a dog and a drunk driving dallas cowboy football player gets a fine for killing a man.

Powderman calls these types pantywetters, I think I have to agree with that assesment.

I think the reason this happened is because of special interest groups wanting to move animals up on the same pedestal as man. There is a list of these groups as long as your arm, that want nothing more than to move man and animals on even ground.  Just look at how fines, punishment, and jail time has risen for disposing of certain nuisance animals. Soon killing an animal will have punishment equal to killing a person.

I remember hearing one time of a forest fire in Calif. People were not allowed to plow a furrow around their homes for a fire break, because it would disturb the nests and nesting areas of some rat.
Kill a animal the feds have on their endangered species list and you could spend a year in jail and pay maybe $100,000 in fines. There are animals protected that are not anywhere close to being extinct or endangered, its just that some special interest groups forced game commissions or government to deem them protected.
Chipmunks are protected in PA. I have no idea why. There are millions of them and they can be a big nuisance. The law says that they can be taken and moved from a residence if they are a nuisance, but taken is not defined, whether taken means shooting them, or trapping and moving.
You really do have to be careful today when disposing of that nuisance animal. IG mentioned the right way to go about it. Shoot, shovel, and the biggest, shut your mouth. Because you know how talk can spread to the wrong places.
Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.    Wm. Penn

Insanity seems almost hereditary; The liberals inherit it from their buddies!
We see liberals on this forum, declaring it an important "right" that some people who run abortuaries, be allowed to make big bucks by executing human babies. Meanwhile, their friends, and I suppose some of the liberals here..would like extreme punishment for breaking a birds egg..

How's THAT for LIBERAL LOGIC !                                         CHECK LINK:
