Well, I've only been on this site for a few weeks, and do not have ANY first hand experience with the Daisy 880.  I have owned and enjoied two Daisy products, a Red Rider, and a CO2 pistol.  The only pump gun I have owned/fired was a Crossman 760.

My opinions of all of the above products is positive overall. The multi-pump air rifle has a few drawbacks in my mind.  1) As a group they must be pumped up tothe desired power level. Too noisy and too much motion to be able to effectively hunt with one. Oh yes, you can take out squirrels and birds with them, but when you miss (eventually everyone misses) and want a quick second shot, it's just not available.  2) with the BB resovior it also contributes to noise, and if BB's are ever fired through the barrel, your accuracy with pellets will deteriorate.  3) to maintain the multi pumps you must use enough oil to keep rust out of the pump and air chamber, but too much oil will cause the seals to blow (don't ask, it wasn't pretty).

However based on 20 some odd reviews, and sales records of the 880 I would say that it is probably one of the better choices of that type of air arm.

Here's mine! Its a great little gun! This one is not a $39.00 walmart special. I've had that  :P  It says 10 pumps max. an that is the limit, not 12 an not 20 all thats gained by doing that is blown seals. Very accurate with 8 pumps an Crosman hollowpoint premiers. scout4<><

Cool.  I prefer a springer , but that's just a personal choice.  Looks good too, the catalog pics make it look too plastic, yours looks like a real world shooter!!

I literally wore one out as a kid some 25 years ago.  Great little air rifle.  Plenty accurate and powerful.
