Star Sizer

I have a question for you guys who own Star Sizers. From what I've read, there seems to be a preference for the older "San Diego" built machine versus the ones sold by Magma Engineering. Does anyone know of a difference in quality? I bought a San Diego about 20 years ago (already well used when I got it), and I've sized 10's of thousands myself. I use a heater for semi-hard lube and even though I don't over heat, there seems to be leakage which leaves 3 little beads of lube on the base of the bullet. If the lube gets a little more soft, I get streaks of lube on the nose too. I push plain based bullets through base first, and gas checked nose first. It seems as though lube is leaking past the piston even when the operating handle is in the up position. A call to Magma to see if they offer re-builds didn't yield any help. I'm thinking about buying either a new one or a used San Diego in decent condition.
