When I started muzzleloading, I didn't consider this a vital accessory, but now I do . . .

For me, its a bore guide.  Mine is a simple wooden guide that I made.  I dinged up the crown on my ML before starting to use it.

The TC speed loaders are a must for the hunter.  I have learned to reload extremely fast.  Secondly, A rugged and longer range rod with a muzzleguard.  FWIW, these are things I consider a necessity.  FH

Good peep sights over the factory open ones. Since in  WI you can only use a 1x scope and most of them are expensive and red dots are fine but I do not like them for the groups they get I prefer peep sights on my muzzle loaders. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Am I missing something Randy?  WHAT do you consider a vital accessory?

Powerrod!  That's a vital accessory especially when shooting sabots!

I don't know if you are missing anything or not, but a chronograph is a vital accessory for any muzzleloader, as far as I'm concerned.

For hunting, it would be a rangefinder. It certainly humbled me, and a lot of others!
