I have a heavy barrel .223 that consistantly runs about 3/4 an inch - sometimes a little better - factory Federal premium ammunition.

I have a 15" 06 and well it was modified, I did the electric tape trick between the forearm and barrel, but it shoots .5".

Heavy barrel stainless .223 shoots 5 shot groups at 100 yards that usually run 5/8 with a few groups as small as 3/8 , Thats handloads using blc-2 and the v-max bullet . I have only run maybe 500 rounds through this barrel and this was the first bullet powder combo I tried , I havent tried anything else as of yet .
My contender pistol .223 super 14 barrel with a 3x scope will shoot sub MOA also

Heavy barrel 22-250 shot 1-1/4" out of the box. Float the forarm and work on the trigger a little bit and it shoots 1/2" on a good day.  KN

I have a 24" stainless 22-250 barrel that will shoot 3/4-7/8 groups with 50 gr ballistic tips.  It will also shoot 45gr winchester bulk ammo into 1-1 1/8" groups at 100 yards but the first 3 are usually 3/4 or so, tends to string high as it heats up.

15" .308 Win Encore that shoots about an inch (3 shot groups) with 150 grain SSTs or BSTs.

Super 14 .223 Contender that will just beat an inch (5 shot groups) with 40 grain V-maxes or BTs.

Both might do better with a more experienced handgunner on the grip.  These are both factory T/C barrels shooting my handloads.

Factory 24" .270 barrel will shoot 1.5 inches all day hot or cold, completely stock.  I just put an oversize hinge pin and will tackle the trigger job later this week.  We will see if it improves.

209x50 factory barrel -    1-1 1/2" groups
25-06 factory barrel   -     3-6" groups
Tac 20 VVCG barrel   -     1/4" groups
VVCG 209x50 barrel  -     1-1 1/2" groups

The VVCG 209x50 barrel needs more load work.
The 25-06 factory barrel will now get 3/4" groups.
