Slide stops

Do they make much of a difference?    Is a better one worth the extra money?

I see them for sale from about six dollars to over fifty dollars.

I can't comment on the costs, as mine are all factory, but if one isn't fitted right, the slide locking back in the middle of a magazine full of ammo is a pain in the tail.  I'm not fond of extended slide stops, either.  Right handed people should use the left thumb to depress the slide stop, and lefties should use the right hand to retract the slide and turn it loose.

Your mileage may vary.
