This Smooth Bore Pistol I'm speaking about was the single most weapon responsible for the implementation of the "1934 Gun Control Act".  I'm pretty sure it would catagorized as a Collectable Pistol. My question here if anyone has ever seen any sources for any "Handy-Gun"pistol barrels in .410, 28G, Rifled, sleeved, or full length for the 1908-1910 Model shotgun.
"This isn't a classified Want Ad".....its a request for possible sources, "Or where might I purchase"?   note-"Handy....not Handi"....

Numrich only lists furniture for it, they don't even list any barrels as out of stock if that tells you anything. ,

That $2500 is a bit high from what I've seen, admittedly very limited exposure to any of the rifled pieces being sold.  They have become very collectible - lot's of collectors (other than H&R nuts) seem to want to own the legal versions.  As to the Handy Gun being one of the reasons for the NFA of 1934 - I'm of the opinion that the use of sawed off shotguns and select fire SMGs and BARs by the prohibition era gangsters was more of the impetus - the Handy Gun just kind of fell in one of the cracks and got swept along.  I don't think Pretty Boy Floyd or Machine Gun Kelley would have traded their Thompsons for an H&R Handy Gun single shot.

At a small Gun and Arrow head in Fulton Missouri, at the VFW on 02 12 2011,I saw two handy guns NEW in the box, vintage 1932 .One was in 22 lr and the other was 22 WRF  . With all the paper work from the factory and targets. The price was $4000.00 for the pair. They were MINT! That is a whole lot of change, but they are brand new and in the boxes . 26-t

26-t,
Do you know if they sold at that price?  Info would be helpful in updating pricing in the BB for next year - it's too late for this year to make any changes.
