:o Dunno, I have several synthetic stocks, some old style and several new checkered style, no problems with fit. Sometimes they need some adjustment so they aren't too tight, but there's no problem with the barrel channel being too small, I just put new camo syns on my 444 and 44mag Handis, also have one on my 38-55 which is comparable to a bull barrel in diameter. If you're putting it on a TDC shotgun barrel, you'll have to change the channel at the barrel swell tho, it's much bigger than a rifle barrel, been there done that too.  :D

Maybe you have a defective forend that wasn't finished properly, what was it on originally?

Midway lists a Tamer forend which may have a smaller channel for the smaller .410 barrel, maybe that's what you have?

yep, have the same thing with mine. bought it from Brownells and just a tad to small for the 12ga barrel. I did some sanding and git it better, but not perfect.

Is it just too tight on the fore lug?  You may need to open the hole up a bit so that it clears?

The only problem I've had with synthetic stocks, and most of them, is that the stock at the bolt head is too tight and the socket wants to stick in the stock.  I found a cheap, thin walled 9/16 junk socket that works fairly well.  My good sockets all stick.
