WOO HOO!!!
« on: February 18, 2011, 08:25:14 AM »
Got my .45LC barrel in and it plops right on my .357 maxi frame and locks up perfectly!  I am so happy!
My FFL holder requires any firearms to be shipped to them via another FFL holder.  So, If I make an offer on a firearm please let me know if this is capable of being done from the start.  Please do NOT mark an item "SPF" to me until we "both" are happy with and in agreement on shipping, funds and the transaction in general.   Thanks

Massive music geek, have a LOT of different headphones and headphone amps.

A good plan some times works just right. ;D

Is that maxi an SB2 frame?  If not, you may not want to try to wring all of the potential power of the 45 LC out of it.  The 45 can be loaded hotter than the 44 mag.

That would be an SB1, they haven't made any SB2 357mags since 2007. But, as long as you use published data in the Colt, even +P Ruger/FA/TC data runs only 25-30kcup, comparable 44mag loads are 36kpsi (40kcup), so the slightly bigger case head of the Colt shouldn't be an issue. Just don't consider rechambering to Casull unless you put it on an SB2 frame.  ;)

I was planning on running the same semi hot loads I used to run in my .45 Bisley.  so that sounds like it would be fine
