Pics of stainless frame and blued barrel?
« on: February 19, 2011, 04:13:22 PM »
I have stainless encore frame, and two stainless barrels. I was wanting to know if anyone has a picture they can post of a stainless frame with a blue barrel. I am more concerned with how it shoots than how it looks, but I still want to see one before I buy a blue barrel. Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Pictured is a stainles Contender frame with a blued 357 Herrett barrel.  I don't think it looks too bad.

I think the stainless frame with a blued barrel combo looks great!  However, I don't really care for a stainless barrel on a blue frame, looks a little odd.

Sorry no pic but I like the way a stainless frame and blued barrel looks good.

go to www.eabco.com and you will find some nice pictures of rifles with the combo of colors u are talking about.  My 22-250 is set up this way with the custom wood, and it is very sweet to look at and shoot.

Here's a photo of a stainless Contender frame with a blued heavy 204 Ruger barrel.  I tagged the crow at 311 yards.

A lot of stainless barrels come from factory with blue sights and I have a number set up with blue frame and stainless barrel and also the other way round so it looks ok to me. also note that a lot of stainless frames and barrels use the black composit stock and they look fine but then that is just my opinion.

I bought my Walnut stocked stainless barrel and receiver 209 muzzle loader, then a blued 260 Rem barrel. Later I added a 30-06 stainless Bergara barrel. Anyway the stainless receiver with the blued barrel is just beautiful. I'll try to add a pic.
