Seems if you are rich and famous in NYC you can quite easily get a a carry permit. Wall street executives, people in the theater, high priced lawyers seem to sail through the process. NY State has the Sullivan law the most toughest firearms law in the US. The law was enacted by a politician by the name of Big Bill Thompson at the turn of the century. Seems his political gang was losing ground in gun fights with the opposition. He passed the strictest gun control law however, his gang easily obtained firearm licenses. Seems nothing has changed.

Money talks, and ................ well you know the rest. Most of the gun wars boils down to the "we should have them, but not you types" anyway.

As long as New York citizens continue to elect senators and congressmen of the caliber they do, the will continue to get what they so richly deserve, which is second place at the hog trough. When the people up there, change, their laws will change.

You might as well expand that thought to any of the other States, ...............while you are at it, include the whole country, it fits there as well. ;)
