Shot a great 64
« on: February 21, 2011, 05:15:22 AM »
Some friends and I were out shooting the other day and we decided to take turns shooting the 200yd gong with whatever rifle was handed to them.  Most everyone had to shoot some type of scoped bolt action or semi-auto rifle.  When it was my turn a buddy went to the truck and pulled out a Winchester 64 in   25-35.  Just good-ole iron sights.  I asked him at what range it was sighted in and he said "I have no idea, but I can shoot hogs at 60yds with it."  So I took a full bead on the 18" target (well at 200yds the bead completely obscures an 18" target).  Fired once and my spotter called high so I held at the bottom of the target and hit it 3 out of the next four shots.  It was a great shooting little rifle and I see why he likes it so much.
