Well went to the range today, and the mighty 22-250 will indeed knock rams over at 300 yds.  Even with a full set.  Hit 1" above center and they toppeled like p-dogs.   HAHAHAHA!!!!!!  Got to love it when a plan comes together.

What does the silhouette look like after you shot it?  Sure hope you are not causing any target damage or you are not going to be too popular.  What, if any, are the range rules concerning small calibers?

The targets had no sign of dimpilnig or penetration.  Just a small splatter mark from the impact of the bullet.  This was one concern, I learned from a eailer test  the bullets would go through at 100 yds, dent at 150 and dimple at 200.  This was 3/8" steel that i found at work.  These targets are the range IMHSA targets and as I said looked surprisingly good.

The reason I asked is that I made five of each animal for myself on my personal range.  While I was gone some friends (termed used loosely) did some shooting on my range and dimpled my chickens with some .224 wildcats.  They hammered away at my pigs with their mag hunting rifles and did some damage on them as well.  I was not too impressed.
