Question on an old single shot I got as a christmas present

Howdy guys,

I got an old single shot 22LR for a christmas present today.  Its not listed in Fjestads and I thought maybe some of you might have some info or know where I can look for it.

It's what would be called by todays standard a youth rifle, short stocked and barreled, the whole thing is only thirty-six and half inches long.  On top of the barrel just in front of the rear sight it says:

Springfield Arms Company
                                          22LR Model D
Chicopee Falls.Mass.U.S.A.

At the back of the reciever on the left side it says RELIANCE.  Where the barrel and reciever come together is a 18 inside a circle (barrel) and a 15 inside a circle (rec) both of these are on the left side.

Springfield Arms Co. Chicopee Falls, Mass was strictly an assumed business name of Stevens Arms (Savage era). Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

hey Steve357 is your a bolt action? I have a single shot bolt action 40.5in long Savage Arms Corporation and under that it says Springfield Arms Company Chicopee Falls.Mass.U.S.A. but it is a Model 120 in 22 short,L,and LR it does have a 15L in a circle behind the sight.. There is no serial number on this gun anywere.This gun has been handed down to me a long time ago.
