There are places in the New Orleanes area that still are unsafe do to criminals , If you had a supply of ammo before the storm it might be getting low now. Ammo may be a good trade item also.

I like to keep most of it loaded up on rifles I have a dedicated load for, but always a few casings laying around to experiment with. If I do get caught wanting to change a load that I have lots of ammo loaded in I have a good excuse to go to the range to practise my freehand shooting or just have some fun plinking to get my casings empty and ready to load again. Interesting subject and some interesting points made.
