The trigger on mine mirrors everyone else's. At the time, it was as, or more accurate than my '03 and A3 Springfields. I ended up using reformed .284 Winchester brass with good .308 bullets, and loaded the ammunition to match .308/7.62 performance, and those loads shot better than the ammunition I could afford then. I had it under the table at a gunshow in Cheyenne, Wyo. one year, with some targets, and when I had it out, and showing off the targets, a fella offered me $350 for the rig. It went away. Still kicking myself over that one.....
It was interesting shooting the thing at a "vintage" military rifle match. In the rapid fire strings, the cases would go into a sub-orbital trajectory and hit the scorer in the chest behind me.
