Bore Brite is finer than the Bore cleaner, but will work just as well for break-in/bore lapping, I've used both, less messy than liquids like flitz.

welcome!!

Ooh boy, not again!!! ;)
We had a drawn out thread a short time ago on just this topic. Lots of opinions here, all carry merit. As long as you remember ALL BARRELS are different! This is ESP applicable when cheaper firearms are the topic as our handis are. I seriously doubt many barrels are rejected at least compared to major barrel manufacturers that coupled with the numbers of barrels a manufacturer cuts before a cutter change. Face it a clean, new and sharp broach will cut cleaner rifling than one that has made a hundred barrels. The last barrels cut before cutter change will benefit most from polishing or break in. Ones cut first will need little attention. Since we have no way of knowing when our barrel was cut, its a crap shoot. Rough barrels hold debris and fouling this retards accuracy.
Many on here talk about dirty barrels shooting better than a clean barrel. But many of these same fellows will support barrel polishing. Not many support of feel proper barrel break in is needed.

I do. I look at it this way. It's not difficult and if it works you will be rewarded with a better shooting easier to clean barrel. If it dosent you still gain experience with you gun thru extra trigger time it's a win win. Becareful polishing barrels done wrongly you can ruin a good barrel pretty quickly.

I cannot search and paste well from my phone. But if you search barrel break in or barrel polishing you should find it.

Good luck ,

I shoot mine also, and I let the barrel tell me when it's broken in by the groups I'm shooting.

Polishing in my opinion is a guessing game and basically you are adding wear to a barrel that may not need it, and a few rounds down the pipe will usually settle it down anyway.

My way of thinking is if you can't get the rifle to group and  you've tried everything else, and you've fired a couple of boxes of ammo with no improvement, then polishing would be a good last resort.
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.
